About this Blog
I started Stories and Spoons in October of 2016 so i could talk and fangirl about all things bookish (especially YA novels) and to get the word out about life with a chronic illness and help those living with it feel more understood and less lonely.
Get to know me!
I am a teenager living in Australia, although someday i would love to move to the UK (especially London) as it’s the place i really feel myself.
I have had Chronic Fatigue Syndrome for over two years and Chronic Pain Syndrome for nearly a year as well as IBS. I consider myself chronically amazing, and want to get more awareness for the spoonie life.
Reading has gotten me through so much in my life and i can’t imagine my life without books and all the amazing quotes and characters in them.
I love writing lists and just writing in general. One of the reasons i started this blog was so i could write about what is important to me.
My favorite quote is “You could rattle the stars” from the Throne of Glass series by Sarah J Maas and sometimes it’s all that gets me through the day with my illness. I want to get it tattooed on my wrist at some point in the future.
My whole life i’ve wanted to do something medical (the categories have changed over the years from obstetrician to medical examiner) but now i really just want to get better and work out who i am, who knows, maybe i’ll open a bookshop where pyjamas are acceptable.
I really love my golden retriever, even though she doesn’t do anything golden retrievery she is an adorable fluffball of love and companionship.
Christmas is the best time of the year and no one will tell me otherwise.
