Review: This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab

At the beginning of the year I discovered the A Darker Shade of Magic series and fell absolutely in love with the world and Schwab’s writing. With the release of Our Dark Duet a little while ago, I thought it was time I read This Savage Song. And of course it was no surprise when I fell absolutely in love with this book and am now dying to buy a copy of the sequel.  Continue reading “Review: This Savage Song by V.E. Schwab”

Top 5 Wednesday June 6th- Favourite Winter Reads

So, technically this prompt is for Favourite Summer Reads, but given I’m in the Southern Hemisphere, I figured I would do a post for all of us going into Winter instead of Summer. I love Winter. It’s the perfect weather for curling up with a mug of steaming tea and a good book. When you don’t feel bad for not going outside, because not even people who like the outdoors can go out in the rain. Plus, I really like flannelette PJs. Now you know I like Winter, let me share my favourite Winter reads. Continue reading “Top 5 Wednesday June 6th- Favourite Winter Reads”

May Favourites

My goodness it’s been a little while since I’ve written a post. Basically, beauty is a currency and it is worth everything. Continue reading “Review: The Belles by Dhonielle Clayton”

Top 5 Wednesday- My Favourite Jokesters

Do you want to guess where I’m writing today’s post? Go on. Guess. Okay, that’s probably a bit unfair of me, given that you can’t reply. I’m writing it sitting on the new steps in my bedroom. The past few weeks I’ve been using a turned over crate to get from one room to the other, so you can imagine how excited I am to finally have proper steps. And I thought I would christen them by writing today’s Top 5 Wednesday post. Continue reading “Top 5 Wednesday- My Favourite Jokesters”

Review: A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray

So, this series has been sitting on my shelf for over a year now, and my best friend has been telling me to pick it up for even longer. So when I finally decided to give this book a try, I knew nothing about it and had no expectations whatsoever, I just wanted to be able to talk to my friend about it. I am SO glad I decided to read this book though. It’s not like anything I’ve ever read before in terms of the idea behind the story, and it was a lot of fun. I flew through it because I constantly wanted to see what was happening and where the main character was going to go next. Continue reading “Review: A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray”
